Action Points during last meeting

  • Design biobricks and primers in Sequencher (Done)
  • Submit Preliminary Project Track details to iGEM HQ by 7 August (done)
  • Change NheI cutsite with another cutsite in the designs since it is used in the integration vectors (Done)
  • Find the integration vector to use at the lab (Done)
  • Find out for which nongerminating strains is the protocol (done - both)
  • Use pmutin4's promoter for the pspac promoter in the designs (done)
  • Do not knock out the original cotC in Bacillus subtilis strain (done)
  • Write to the Cornell team for collaboration (done)
  • Contact to Groningen team (Done)
  • Ask Pr.Nigel Robinson if he wants to be an advisor (done)
  • Think about the project title; BacMan,the Quest to Sequester? - Morgan likes, accepted.
  • Need to put more pictures on the wiki (Mat).
  • Collect pictures of the team from those who took pictures (Arun)- ongoing
  • Have a look at the shuttle vector that Cambridge submitted last year (Leave for later).
  • Look at Groningen's BioBrick design (leave for later).

  • Students to prepare primers and cloning strategy documents (done)

Minutes

  • Flights and hotels are being booked. Going a night early, flying to Heathrow, then on to Boston. Due to the extra night, we will be staying in the Holiday Inn for the first night. Then we will move to the iGEM hotel (Cambridge Hyatt?) for the remainder of the trip. We will have the final day to do such activities such as sightseeing.
