My name is Oliver Hoeller - I am a postdoc with Wendell Lim and Orion Weiner here at UCSF. I joined the labs about a year ago and work on chemotaxis using Dictyostelium as a model system. I was very excited to get involved in this years iGEM project as a superbuddy: It meant taking on a different role compared to the normal wetlab postdoc’s routine. Suddenly it was not about my experiments but about finding ways to make the iGEM project run smooth. I greatly enjoyed experiencing the students engaged in their own projects. It is amazing to see the progress they made over the summer.
