Member of Personnel Group in Team SJTU-BioX-Shanghai (iGEM 2009).
I’m Tang Yun from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. You can also call me Sabrina. My major is Bioinformatics, which suggests what I am doing is to link biology and computer together. To make it easier, my job is to solve some biological problems with computer methods in a more efficient way. If you try to figure out what type of person I am, I will tell you that I really love animals. I’m always curious about life. I mean how can bacteria or elephants have such an amazingly precise and orderly life pattern? Who designed it? Which power keeps it going? That’s why I came here, participated in the SJTU Bio-x team. What we are trying to do is so unbelievable. We are creating a new life which will carry out some interesting functions. Can you imagine the irrepressible high spirits we have when our little biological robot finally accomplished? For me, it’s the best prize.
