Evaluating Competence
The results from yesterdays evaluation was disappointing. Only Hsin Ho's cells had any transformants at all. This seems a bit implausible so we performed a new evaluation, this time employing only our recently made Top10 cells. We inoculated using 1 and 5 µl of the pUC19 evaluation plasmid.

Ethanol and Butanol Evolution
I transferred the Ethanol culture from #3 ( 2min UV exposure ) to 5% ethanol in 15ml BG11. A control with 0% was setup as well.
Furthermore I inocultated recovery culutures from 0,25%, 0,5% and 1 % in 1,5% Butanol BG11 medium(15ml total volume). A control with 0% Butanol was done as well
