Non-traditional teams are a new experiment for iGEM 2009. This new category enables participation of other teams that are interested in iGEM but in a limited capacity. Non-traditional teams will also pay a registration fee and Jamboree attendance fees. At the iGEM 2009 Jamboree in November, teams will give a flash 5-minute presentation and present a poster. The non-traditional teams will NOT be eligible for the standard prizes from the iGEM judging committee but might be eligible for a single award specific to non-traditional teams.
Fees for Non-traditional teams
Team registration fee: $500.00 USD per team
Jamboree attendance fee: $175.00 USD per undergraduate (or high school student); $375.00 USD per graduate student/instructor/other
