LB Plates
- LB Growth Media
- 1L dH20
- 10g NaCl
- 5g yeast extract
- 10g Bacto-tryptone
- 15g bacto agar
Pour the autoclaved media into new sterile plates. Pour so that just the very bottom is covered, less is better. Shake/Move them as little as possible to prevent media from splashing up on the sides. Once they have harded label each plate with the contents and date. "Example: LB+AMP 100ug/mL 6/10/09". Make sure to dry the plates before others use them. To do so, leave them out at room temperature for at least . Store dry plates at 4°C room, in the large box under the sink labeled "iGEM stock Plates". Keep plates should be turned upside down when stored and while in use.
