We are interested introducing a plant chassis to the iGEM registry. Our project follows two routes. First, we are developing a plant transformation vector that meets iGEM standards. This vector will allow for the introduction of standard parts into plants. Second, we seek to develop and test a synthetic cell penetrating peptide (CPP) to act as a macromolecule delivery vehicle. The membrane of the cell is impenetrable to most large molecules.
