About us

Calin : I am from Canada and I see synthetic biology as a great way to learn how nature does nanofabrication. Outside the lab I am usually traveling, climbing, or running on a track or pitch.

Daniel : I am from Mexico. I´m a second year MSc student in the great field of Life Science and Technology. My academic interests are control mechanisms in different type of cells. more.

Saeed : I am from Netherlands. I'm M.Sc student in Life Science & Technology. I'm also interested in politics and the contribution which scientists can have to politics and informing the public. more

Sriram : I am from India. I like engineering both living cells and software. Apart from iGEM, I like cycling through country-side, playing cricket and recently "paint-ball wars".

Tim Vos : I am from the Netherlands, and currently working on my Masters at TUDelft. Synthetic biology is interesting for me because of its great potential and unlimited opportunities it brings forth. more

Tim W. : I am from Netherlands. I like cooking, hiking and traveling. For my Bachelor degree I have studied Life Science and Technology. I am interested in Synthetic Biology and would like to continue studying it.

I´m currently working in the identification and characterization of novel enzymes and pathways in ''Penicillium chrysogenum'', also in the construction and testing of in vivo targeted drug delivery systems for cancer treatment and, of course, in the re engineering of ''Escherichia coli'' in the iGEM project. In this last one, my main contribution was in the module 3: Time-delay device. I enjoyed this time working with my partners and I'm sure it will be great in Boston.
