Jerzy - DRYLAB

Jerzy Szablowski - Personal Presentation

Hi, I am Jerzy Szablowski (try to pronounce it!),

I was born in Poland and went there to high school (27th in Warsaw that is). When I turned eighteen I moved to United States to attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At MIT, I worked in Langer Lab[1], Jasanoff Lab[2] and Synthetic Neurobiology Group[3] (Ed Boyden) and got training in Biological Engineering and as well as biology and psychology.

Currently, I am working on finishing my Phd in Bioengineering at California Institute of Technology (CalTech) which has weather just as good as Valencia - step up from MIT. I work with Paul Rothemund [4] on designing DNA-based nanostructures.

Lastly, I am involved in a startup of a non-profit organization - ScienceReviews. If you have a good idea, or you think you are capable of reviewing some - send me an email. I will explain you the goals and rationale of the organization.

I finished my college degree and I wanted to spend a free summer actively. I chose joining the iGEM team in Valencia. I worked on range of topics: mostly design of the system and electronics equipment. Also, I took photographs on a daily basis ;)
