At the beginning of the summer, we run a set of workshops for iGEM teams. The purpose of these workshops is to provide background about iGEM and synthetic biology, to teach some of the fundamental philosophies and ideas of iGEM and synthetic biology, to pass on important information for this year's iGEM season, and to get teams to know each other before the season begins. For the convenience of the community, we run one workshop in the US, one in Europe, and one in Asia.

Dates for the workshops will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

Teachers' Workshop Registration

If you plan to attend one of the teachers workshops, please send us an email so that we can get a rough count of the number of attendees.

If you need an official invitation letter, contact us and we will help you as much as possible. You must contact us early so that we can accommodate your request.

Every team MUST send at least one instructor. Unlike in the past, though, students are highly encouraged to attend as well! You only have to attend one of the three workshops, whichever one you choose, but you must attend at least one regardless of whether you are a returning iGEM team or not.
