Results
Maria and Afton
- E. coli cells DB3.1 with the plasmid backbone psB3k3 p1010 (death gene) had one visible colony
- Positive controls have lots of cell growth
- No visible colonies on the negative control

Tasks
- Pick the colony
- Have individual team meetings
- Make new LB + Kan plates and broth
Wetlab
Maria and Afton
- The one visible colony was picked and placed in 5mL of LB + Kan broth to incubate overnight.
- The negative control that grew on the LB + Kan June 30, 2009 was replated on two Kan plates
- one plate was made 6/8/09 and the other was made 7/1/09
- If there is no growth on the most recent plates, then we know the previous Kan plates have degrated
- If there is growth, someting is there giving the bacteria a resistence
- one plate was made 6/8/09 and the other was made 7/1/09

- Adam and Kevin transformed and plated parts BBa_J23101, BBa_J23119, BBa_E0840, and pSB3K3 w/ P1010. See lab notebook page 1-3 for details
