Formed in March, 2009, the UBC iGEM team was destined for greatness.
Our project was inspired by the Coliroid project and others. The goal is to create an organism that can spell out "UBC" on a petri dish, using nothing more than the concentration of two effector molecules that have been put into the agar in two perpendicular gradients as an X,Y address. This will require sensors for both effectors that can be tuned to various concentrations, plus logic gates to combine the output of the sensors.
