We are planing 6 projects.
1.oscillation
2.bioclock
3.tabacco
4.Food
5.Arterisclerosis
6.BSE
1.We will make the oscillation by using the expression of some proteins. We haven't decided what protein we would use. But,if we could make 24 hours-oscillation ,we'd use this system to invent bioclock.
2.Cyanobacteria has clock genes;KaiA,B,C. KaiC is phosphatized and phospharylized in cycles.The term between one phosphatization and the next is 24 hours. KaiB phosphataize KaiC. KaiA binds KaiB and inhibits the phosphataization of KaiC. We inject these genes into E.coli and let E.coli express interesting proteins every day. If something,that wakes humans, expressed, we could use it as an alarm clock.
3.If you broken your promise and smoked, your mouth would begin to smell.We are growing E>coli or bacterias which express the enzyme that reacts Nicotine and catalyzes a smelling substract.
4.We are making food which has additional nutritions.Without adding sugar,Bread becomes sweet by enzymes of bread yeast. Food has more vitamins. etc.
5.Arteriosclerosis is caused by LDL cholesterols. So, we are growing E.coli which express LDL cholesterol receptor and inhibits the absorption of LDLcholesterols in the blood vassel.
6.We are making bacteria that cures BSE.
