Last Week's Action Points

• Need to update Goksel and Hanny on monday at internal meeting - done
• Design sequencing primers for pMutin4 and GFP-rrnB - not done
• Make some changes on t-shirt designs: restriction sites (Hanny)
• 11 person's name on t-shirts : NEIL, JEN, MORGAN, MATT, MATHEW, GOKSEL, ARUN, JESSICA, HANNY, JAMES, JANE
• Ask Dan if he wants DAN or DANIEL
• Everyone needs to do ESTA
• Create a page on the wiki about ethics
• Fill Valencia's questionnaire
• Update timeline (James)
• Get Hanny guest student card
• Search for other websites for those green "bugs" (Jess)
• Contact Nigel Robinson to use his lab and the electronmicroscope
• Citate the papers in the wiki for metal sensing. Quote short sentences where necessary.

  • Done! Had internal meeting on Monday and discussed lab details.

  • The t-shirt has been modified and is ready to submit to printing companies

Lab Work Update

• Hanny and Goksel updated the team on the labwork
• NEW ACTION POINT - need to sequence BioBrick
  • Hanny has been assigned the task

Wiki update

• Mathew has been assigned the task - gave a few pointers in meeting describing changes needed to certain pages

• NEW ACTION POINT - look at Imperial iGEM 2008 website to find out how to do video

• NEW ACTION POINT - redraw and add colour to diagram on front page currently (the process chart)
  • Maybe use Omnigraffle for the Mac seen as the Mac was used to create the diagram

• NEW ACTION POINT - the "Eco Warrior" story, which is currently on the front page of the wiki, needs to go in the 'Fun and Games' section.

• NEW ACTION POINT - put a diagram of a Bacillus subtilis' cell on the front page of the wiki with elements of the project e.g. Cadmium sensing, stochastic switch, etc included

Presentation Update

• Sub-project teams need to send at least two slides with some information on them.

• Presentation practice to be held on 23rd October - times to be decided.

Poster Update

• Jess is leading this task
• Jess needs to update team by next week
