Zhou Nengyi(周能轶)
Member of External Relations Group and the lecturer in Team SJTU-BioX-Shanghai.
To briefly introduce myself, my name is Zhou Nengyi, Jessie is my English name. I am now a junior student of Shanghai Jiaotong University majoring in Life Science and Technology, and expect graduation next June.
During my three years of college life, I’ve gained a rich experience in both my academic performance part and social participation part. My research experience in bio field including microRNA lab and stem cell center during my stay in korea and my current lab work in SJTU as majoring in microbiological pathways.
As for social and working experience, I studied in London, worked in LA, exchanged in Seoul, was invited to Vienna Musical Festival, have an amazing traveling and culture exchange life and experienced in communicating with people from all over the world. I speak native English and Chinese as well as daily German and Korean.
The reason why I want to join our college’s iGEM team—SJTU Bio-X this year is because that I think I had and will always have the passion for biology, not to speak how exciting and motivating working and studying together with a bunch of students who love bio would be. I believe this experience of participating in the iGEM contest will be an unusual and worthwhile journey in my life.
