Our project involves creation of synthetic constructs to be used for specific functions. Throughout the course of iGEM projects, we have tried to criticize and review our methodologies ourselves as well as by others. Synthetic biology holds immense promise as a beneficial technology. As with any other area of biotechnology, there are associated areas of concern and risk.
