iGEM Paris Team

Hello everyone! welcome to our wiki. It's the 3rd year for the Paris Team and we're still motive to do our best. this year we're a team of 13 students (what a luck) and a high school guy. We are 6 biologists, 2 mathematicians, 1 informatician, 1 sociologist, 1 infectiologist, 1 geneticist, and 1 chemist. We've got the best of the best of the best supervisors like Lindner Ariel and Bottani Samuel, let's the contest begin. (See our team here).

A Message in a Bubble Project abstract

Our project is to create a higher-level long distance communication system between gram-negative bacteria using vesicle (OMV). We tough of using a system witch can be easily reproduce with a lot of different input/ouput. We hope this standardization system will be a useful progress in bacteria communication and will be use in medical, bio-remediation, or any system that need a partial step of transformation or a transfer information system.

We try to standardize the increase of vesicle production, the signal system addressing in vesicle and fusion with target bacteria. Then we are thinking about a specific signal system, which can be easily reproduced. Let’s see more information in our OMV Project or in our different parts.

We call it a Bacterial Protocol, and tough that message in a bubble seems to fit it nicely. For more information on how we come up with this try our brainstorming part.
